How to make an ozone water generator?
You will need the following materials to make your generator. First, you’ll need a container for your water. For this tutorial, I have chosen a 5-gallon bucket with a lid. You can use any size but keep in mind that the bigger it is, the more ozone it produces.
Second, you’ll need an oxygen cylinder with a regulator. This is used to deliver oxygen into the container. The regulator controls the amount of oxygen that enters your bucket. Make sure you use pure oxygen and not air or carbon dioxide because they will not work properly.
Now, let’s start building your generator. First, connect the regulator to the cylinder using a hose clamp. Then place it securely on top of the cylinder. Next, attach another hose clamp to close off one end of your tubing then slide it onto the intake valve on the bottom of your bucket lid. Finally, tighten this clamp onto your valve by hand or with an adjustable wrench for extra security.

No, you can’t. You need oxygen or pure air to make ozone because it requires the extra oxygen atom. Air pumps only push atmospheric air (78% nitrogen and 21% oxygen) which will not work for this generator.
Pure oxygen is needed because it provides the extra atom needed to create ozone. Oxygen cylinders are pretty inexpensive and can be purchased from most hardware stores or online.
Just make sure that you buy 100% pure oxygen with a regulator from an industrial supply store or medical supplier otherwise your machine won’t work properly. Most of these places also offer same-day local delivery so they are really convenient!
Can I use any type of bucket?
Yes, you can use any size or style of the bucket. The only type of bucket that you cannot use is one with plastic handles or a lid because the ozone will cause these parts to crack and crumble over time. Also, avoid using metal buckets because they could rust in the water. Plastic buckets are much more durable and can be used for years without any problems.
Which size generator should I make?

Q 4) Doesn’t chlorine kill bacteria anyway?
Yes, chlorine does kill most bacteria but not all. Some types of bacteria have developed a resistance to chlorine which means that your water could still be infected despite being treated at the water treatment plant.
This is why it’s important to use an ozone generator because it breaks down pathogens at the source instead of just killing them with chlorine. Plus, ozone is a lot more effective than chlorine and leaves no chemical aftertaste!
